Turf and vegetation trials to bring practical learning to MWA Bendigo 2027

Preparations for MWA Bendigo 2027 are underway, with turf and vegetation management trials being coordinated at the Bendigo Showgrounds to support practical learning at next year’s conference.

Dale Tunstall from Greenway Solutions and Phil Hogan from Envu recently met with MWA CEO Peter Ali and Bendigo Showgrounds Executive Officer Ian Furze to coordinate the trials at the conference site.

The trials will provide an opportunity to explore turf and vegetation management approaches in a working environment. They will discuss progress and outcomes during special conference sessions planned for MWA Bendigo 2027, linking the technical discussion to examples delegates can see at the showgrounds.

Demonstrating practical outcomes has become a key part of the MWA Bendigo conference. Bringing trials into the event gives delegates the opportunity to examine results, ask questions of industry specialists and consider how different approaches might apply to their own council’s parks, reserves and public spaces.

The initiative also highlights the value of collaboration between MWA, industry partners and the showgrounds team in creating relevant learning opportunities for municipal works professionals.

MWA thanks Dale, Phil and Ian for their support in developing this initiative. Further details about the trials and associated sessions will be shared as the conference program takes shape.

MWA Bendigo 2027 will be held on 17–18 March 2027 at the Bendigo Showgrounds, under the theme “Smarter, Faster, Greener Municipal Works”.
