MWA Bendigo 2026: Building Resilience and Reinvention

The 2026 National Municipal Works Conference, hosted by Municipal Works Australia (MWA), will take place on 18–19 March 2026 at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds, Bendigo (Victoria). The theme — Resilience & Reinvention — highlights how local governments and industry partners can adapt to evolving challenges, embrace innovation, and strengthen community infrastructure.

Set in regional Victoria, the Bendigo venue reflects the importance of regional leadership in municipal works. Over two days, delegates will explore topics from infrastructure sustainability and workforce renewal to smart technology and climate resilience. The program features keynote sessions, technical presentations, and live outdoor equipment demonstrations, alongside one of Australia’s largest municipal works exhibitions.

With more than 1,000 professionals and 65+ councils expected to attend, MWA Bendigo 2026 will provide invaluable networking, learning, and collaboration opportunities. The event also includes a pre-conference charity evening on 17 March, adding a social dimension to the professional program.

Whether you’re a works officer, engineer, manager, or supplier, the conference is the place to discover new ideas, see innovations in action, and help shape the future of municipal services across Australia.
