The Tasmanian Association of Municipal Supervisors travel award was established in 2019. The award, which is supported by the national apprenticeship and training provider IntoWork Australia, is open to anyone working within the municipal works field in Tasmania. The award provides opportunities for Tasmanian based municipal works employees to attend Municipal Works Australia’s National Municipal Works and Engineering Conference which is held in late March each year.
We would like to congratulate Jade Jones, Works Manager at Huon Valley Council and Darren Johnson, Works Manager at Kingborough Council for impressing the members of MWA’s Board with their successful applications. Jade and Darren will be joining MWA Tasmanian Branch President and Board Member Peter Donato from Clarence Council for the trip over to Bendigo for the conference. Applications are still open for the MWA’s other conference travel awards. Apply via the Awards page.
